As a former Head of Department, Specialist Leader of Education and mentor, I help trainee and early-career MFL teachers feel more confident, capable and supported in the classroom.
Hi, I'm Kirsten, and I'm the person behind The MFL Teacher.
I've been teaching modern languages (and Latin!) for more than 24 years, and have been fortunate to take on a variety of roles along the way, including Head of Department, Specialist Leader in Education, mentor and teacher trainer.
Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: I've loved helping teachers grow in confidence and develop their classroom practice.
That's why I created The MFL Teacher.
My mission is simple: to help trainee and early-career MFL teachers feel more confident, capable and supported in the classroom, and to remind them that they don't have to figure everything out alone.
Here you'll find practical training, classroom resources and supportive professional development designed specifically for French, German and Spanish teachers, alongside a welcoming community of teachers who understand the realities of the job.
Because no teacher should have to figure it all out alone.
