French - Transcription phrases

Have a copy of this on your classroom wall and a set of cards for pupils when they are doing transcription pairwork.Itā€™s a list of punctuation phrases in French and English.

French - Simple future running dictation

The pictures and phrases are placed around the room (several copies). Pupils work in groups of 3 or 4. Each person has 30 seconds to go up to the pictures and memorise as much information as possible without speaking. They return to their group and relay as much as possible. Pupils take it in turns to do the same. Each person has 2 chances to do this.

French - Rooms pairwork gap-fill

Pupils work in pairs to read the paragraph about rooms in the house. Each pupil has the same paragraph, but with gaps in different places. By reading to each other, they fill in the gaps in their own paragraph, promoting speaking, listening and transcription skills.
