Team game. Pupils choose a number from the grid. When you click on the number and reveal a word or phrase, they must translate it to gain a point for their team. If they can put the word or phrase into a sentence, award 3 points.

Use this PPT to introduce the weather in German.To start, the weather is shown on a map of Germany, Switzerland and Austria. It is worth looking at the patterns of language used here.Then the vocab is formally introduced.Following this, pupils must identify the weather in German as it whizzes past.Finally, pupils use mini whiteboards to state whether the phrase is correct or not (does it match the image?).
